www.heb.com/survey: How to Enter H-E-B’s $250 Gift Card Drawing

We checked everything on this page about www.heb.com/survey against H-E-B’s Official Rules for the current quarter.

H-E-B doesn’t run this site. myreceiptsays.com is a separate guide with no tie to H-E-B or InMoment. Your certificate code, receipt and personal details are for H-E-B’s survey alone, and this site never collects them.

Take the H-E-B survey at www.heb.com/survey

Finish the survey and you’re entered in a quarterly drawing for one of thirty $250 H-E-B gift cards, as long as you live in Texas and are 18 or older.

H-E-B’s survey page doesn’t come up in Google, so searching for it mostly turns up other guides. Instead, type the address from your receipt or use this button:

Open www.heb.com/survey

This goes to www.heb.com/survey, which then forwards you to H-E-B’s survey on feedback.inmoment.com, because InMoment runs the survey for H-E-B.

In short: go to www.heb.com/survey, choose English or Spanish, and enter the certificate code printed on your H-E-B receipt. After that, each completed survey counts as one entry into a quarterly drawing for thirty $250 H-E-B gift cards, five in each of H-E-B’s six Texas regions. Texas residents aged 18 or older can enter once a day, and there’s also a free mail-in entry. However, H-E-B’s rules don’t set a deadline for taking the survey after you shop.

What www.heb.com/survey asks for

To begin with, the welcome screen lets you continue in English or Spanish. After that, the survey asks: Please enter your certificate code: According to the rules, that’s the certificate number on your receipt invitation, including any letters. For example, the sample receipt on H-E-B’s start screen prints an 18-digit code in three groups of six, under the words CERTIFICATE CODE near the bottom.

Then the questions begin with the time of day you shopped, picked from five ranges between 6am and midnight. Later, the overall-satisfaction question uses a 1-to-9 scale, and every field marked with an asterisk must be filled in before you can submit.

H-E-B’s rules don’t say how long you have after shopping, but the invitation must come from the current quarter. Also, the sample receipt prints a line reading RECEIPT EXPIRES ON with a date, so check whether yours has one.

The H-E-B survey start screen at www.heb.com/survey asking for the certificate code, with the offer to win one of thirty $250 H-E-B gift cards.

How to take the H-E-B survey, step by step

  1. Before you start, find the CERTIFICATE CODE near the bottom of your H-E-B receipt.
  2. Then type www.heb.com/survey into your browser’s address bar.
  3. When the welcome screen loads, choose English or Español.
  4. Enter the certificate code exactly as printed, including any letters, and select Enter.
  5. Then answer every question marked with an asterisk, starting with the time of day you shopped.
  6. Finally, submit the finished survey. According to the start screen, completing it enters you in that quarter’s drawing, and you can enter again on another day.

The prize: thirty $250 H-E-B gift cards every quarter

  • $250gift card for each winner
  • 30winners each quarter
  • 5winners in each of six regions

The current rules offer a QUARTERLY PRIZE: thirty (30) prizes, awarded five (5) per quarter per H-E-B Market Region, in the amount of US$250, paid in the form of a gift card. In other words, H-E-B gives away $7,500 a quarter, split into six regional drawings of five winners each.

Your region matters, because each one has its own drawing. Survey entries go to the region of the store you rated, while mail-in entries go by your address. The six regions are San Antonio/West, Border, Central, Gulf Coast, Houston and North West, so your odds depend on how many people enter in yours.

Also, there’s a limit of one prize per person per quarter. If an entry isn’t drawn, it doesn’t roll over to the next quarter. In addition, the gift card can’t be used for alcohol or tobacco, may carry dormancy fees or an expiry date, and the winner pays any taxes.

If you’ve seen $100 somewhere else, that figure is old. The sample receipt on H-E-B’s own start screen still reads WIN 1 OF 50 $100 HEB GIFT CARDS/MONTH with a 2018 end date, so guides that copied it are out of date.

Will your entry count this quarter?

Pick the date you’ll take the survey or post a mail-in entry, then choose how you’re entering. The checker then compares it with this quarter’s dates in the box above. Since the rules don’t name a time zone, it uses your device’s calendar, and it runs in your browser without sending anything.

How you’re entering

Enter free by mail, no receipt needed

According to the rules, there’s NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. The phone survey still needs the number on a receipt invitation, so mail is the only way in without one.

Before you print your details, hand-write this sentence on a sheet of paper: Please enter me in the H-E-B Customer Satisfaction Survey Sweepstakes for a chance to win great prizes. Then hand-print your first name, last name, home phone number, full address and email address. Your own address can’t be a PO box, because the rules say no PO Boxes accepted, even though H-E-B’s address is one:

H-E-B Customer Relations
P. O. Box 839999
San Antonio, TX 78283-3999

Your letter must reach H-E-B by the last day of the quarter, so post it well before then. Also, the one-a-day limit covers surveys and mail together, so a letter sent the same day as a survey won’t add a second entry.

An H-E-B survey question asking how satisfied you were with the store, rated from 1 to 9.

If www.heb.com/survey won’t take your code

  • If the code is rejected, retype it exactly as printed, letters included, since mixing up 0 and O, or 1 and I, is the usual slip.
  • When your receipt has no certificate code, it has no invitation. In that case, use the free mail-in entry instead.
  • If you’ve already entered today, wait until tomorrow, since the rules allow one entry per person per day and may delete extra ones.
  • If you live outside Texas, the drawing isn’t open to you, because the rules only accept legal residents of Texas.
  • When the dates in the survey’s footer don’t match this page, go by the Official Rules link on the same screen. On our check, the footer still showed an earlier quarter’s dates.
  • If you’re still stuck, the rules give 1(800) 432-3113 for questions and comments.

What other www.heb.com/survey guides get wrong

When we compared two guides that show up in searches for www.heb.com/survey, heb-comsurvey.click and curvesinformation.com, against the current rules, these claims didn’t match.

What the guide saysWhat H-E-B’s rules say
“Win $100 Gift Card”, or gift cards “like $500 or $1,000” (heb-comsurvey.click)Thirty $250 gift cards a quarter, five in each region
“one of the sixty $100 gift cards”, with winners announced “monthly” (curvesinformation.com)Thirty $250 cards, drawn once a quarter
Open to “a legal U.S. resident” (heb-comsurvey.click)Legal residents of Texas only, aged 18 or older
Take it “within 3 – 7 days of your visit” (heb-comsurvey.click)The rules set no deadline after you shop, although the invitation must come from the current quarter
“each receipt gets you one entry” (heb-comsurvey.click)One entry per person per day, however many receipts you have

How to spot a fake H-E-B survey

The real survey starts at www.heb.com/survey and then runs on feedback.inmoment.com, where InMoment also hosts the rules. However, sites with names like heb-comsurvey.click aren’t H-E-B, and this site isn’t H-E-B either. Of course, we never ask for your code or details.

In fact, real winners are contacted by telephone or email within 14 days of the drawing, then sign an affidavit and release. So a message that asks for a fee, gift card numbers or bank details, or promises more than $250, isn’t from H-E-B. According to the FTC, real prizes are free.
