DunkinRunsOnYou.com Survey: How to Get Your Free Classic Donut

This DunkinRunsOnYou guide comes from three places. We used a Dunkin’ receipt we photographed, each screen of the survey and the coupon rules on Dunkin’s help page.

Dunkin’ isn’t behind this site. myreceiptsays.com is independent and only explains the survey. Your survey code, receipt and email address belong on the survey itself, not here.

Take the survey at www.DunkinRunsOnYou.com

Free classic donut with a medium or larger drink

Dunkin’s survey page shows up in Google, so you can use that result or this button. Below, we cover what the survey doesn’t spell out, especially the coupon’s 14-day limit.

Open DunkinRunsOnYou.com

This goes to DunkinRunsOnYou.com, the survey address printed on Dunkin’ receipts, rather than to dunkindonuts.com.

In short: go to DunkinRunsOnYou.com within 3 days of your visit and type the survey code from your receipt. Near the end, the survey offers to email you a coupon for a free classic donut, so enter your email address. Then use the coupon within 14 days at a participating U.S. Dunkin’ when you buy a medium or larger drink, though not on a Mobile App order.

DunkinRunsOnYou coupon rules from Dunkin’s own help page

The receipt says See restrictions on dunkindonuts.com, and the coupon terms we found there sit on Dunkin’s contact and FAQ page. Here’s what they say, alongside the receipt’s own deadline.

RuleWhat Dunkin’ says
The offerOne free classic donut with the purchase of a medium or larger Dunkin’ beverage
Drinks that don’t countCooler beverages don’t count
Survey deadlineWithin 3 days of your visit, according to the receipt
Coupon expiry14 days from the date it’s issued
Where it worksParticipating U.S. Dunkin’ locations only
Mobile App ordersNot valid, so order in person instead
How to redeemPresent the coupon or offer code when you order
LimitsOne coupon per customer per visit, used once, and not combined with any other coupon, discount or promotion

How the free classic donut actually reaches you

It isn’t a prize draw, so there’s nothing to win; instead, every finished survey can earn the coupon. Late in the survey, a screen says: As a thank you, we would like to email you a coupon for a free classic donut with a purchase of a medium or larger Dunkin’ beverage. You type your email address there, and the survey adds Your email will be used for no other purpose.

The last screen then reads Please check your email inbox for your coupon code. So, despite what some guides say, there’s no code to copy onto your receipt. Because the coupon only lasts 14 days, check the email soon and keep it handy for your next visit.

Put simply, you make two purchases to get the donut: the visit that printed the receipt, and a medium or larger drink when you redeem. Also, the receipt adds that Additional Discounts Will Not Be Applied to Promotional Offers.

Is your receipt or donut coupon still good?

The receipt gives you 3 days for the survey, while Dunkin’ gives the coupon 14 days from the day it’s issued. Choose what you’re checking and enter the date. Since Dunkin’ names no time zone, the checker counts days on your device’s calendar, and it runs in your browser without sending anything.

What the DunkinRunsOnYou.com survey asks for

The start screen asks for your Survey Code, located on your receipt, and says the survey should take less than 3 minutes. On the receipt we checked, the code was 18 digits in four groups, printed as 5-5-4-4 after the words Survey Code:. A “Where is my survey code?” link sits beside the box, and there’s a language menu at the top.

If you don’t have a code, select I don’t have a survey code, please click here. That form asks instead for the Store (PC)# (up to 6 characters), the date of service, the hour and AM or PM of your visit, and the type of visit. It also has an optional order number box of up to 4 characters.

The questions we saw include how likely you are to recommend Dunkin’, from 0 to 10, a star rating for the visit and a comment box. After that come the email coupon offer and an optional 2 extra minutes of questions.

How to take the DunkinRunsOnYou survey, step by step

  1. Before you start, find the survey code on your Dunkin’ receipt, under the free classic donut offer.
  2. Within 3 days of your visit, type DunkinRunsOnYou.com into your browser’s address bar.
  3. Enter the survey code and select Begin Survey, or use the “I don’t have a survey code” link and fill in the store and visit details.
  4. Answer the questions about your visit, including the 0 to 10 recommendation score and the star rating.
  5. When the survey offers to email you a coupon for a free classic donut, type your email address, then choose whether to answer 2 extra minutes of questions.
  6. Finally, open the coupon email and bring the code to a participating U.S. Dunkin’ within 14 days, ordering a medium or larger drink.

When DunkinRunsOnYou.com or the coupon won’t work

  • If the survey rejects your code, retype all 18 digits slowly, since one swapped digit is the usual cause.
  • When the code still fails, or your receipt has none, use the “I don’t have a survey code” link and enter the store and visit details instead.
  • If more than 3 days have passed since your visit, the receipt’s window has closed. In that case, look for a survey code on your next receipt.
  • If the coupon email doesn’t arrive, check your spam or promotions folder, because the final screen sends you to your inbox for the code.
  • When a store refuses the coupon, check four things first: it’s under 14 days old, you’re buying a medium or larger drink that isn’t a cooler beverage, you’re not ordering in the Mobile App, and the store takes part in the offer.
  • If you’re still stuck, the receipt lists 800-447-0013 and customerservice@dunkinbrands.com. Dunkin’s help page also gives 1-800-859-5339 for in-store experience, Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM Eastern.

What other DunkinRunsOnYou guides get wrong

When we compared two guides that show up in searches for dunkinrunsonyou with the receipt, the survey and Dunkin’s own rules, these claims didn’t match.

What the guide saysWhat Dunkin’ shows
“you’ll be entered to win a FREE CLASSIC DONUT” (survey.contact)There’s no drawing, since every finished survey can earn the coupon
“Coupon Valid For: 7 Days or a week” (survey.contact)The coupon expires 14 days after Dunkin’ issues it
“write the validation code on the receipt” (survey.contact)The final screen says to check your email inbox for the coupon code
“Valid only at the location listed on your receipt” (dunkinrunsonyouu.com)Good at participating U.S. Dunkin’ locations

Lookalike DunkinRunsOnYou sites

The address on Dunkin’ receipts is DunkinRunsOnYou.com. However, sites with similar names aren’t Dunkin’, and this site isn’t Dunkin’ either. For example, dunkinrunsonyouu.com, with a double u, sends its “Get Started” button to dailynewblog.com instead of the survey.

So type your survey code only on the real survey. Also, the free donut never costs a fee, and the only contact detail the survey asks for is an email address for the coupon. If anything asks for card or bank details, it isn’t Dunkin’. According to the FTC, real prizes are free.

Can you get the free donut without buying anything?

No. There’s no drawing or free entry, because the survey code comes from a purchase and the coupon itself needs a medium or larger drink.

Where these facts come from

Dunkin’ can change the offer at any time, so if your receipt or coupon says something different, go by yours.

If your coupon showed different terms, let us know at contact@myreceiptsays.com. Our editorial policy explains how we check reports like that. Other receipt surveys we’ve written up include IHOP, LongHorn and Walgreens.

myreceiptsays.com runs independently of Dunkin’, which hasn’t sponsored, approved or reviewed this DunkinRunsOnYou guide. We use the Dunkin’ trademark solely to point readers to the right survey. If your coupon’s terms or Dunkin’s help page ever disagree with us, they come first.
