Three sources sit behind every step below: a real IHOP receipt, IHOP’s coupon email and the TalkToIHOP screens themselves.
Separate from IHOP. This explainer comes from myreceiptsays.com, an independent site that neither IHOP nor Qualtrics runs. It won’t ask for your survey code, receipt or email address.
In short: go to TalkToIHOP.com within 3 days of your visit and type the survey code printed at the bottom of your IHOP receipt. When you finish, IHOP emails you a coupon code for a free Short Stack of Buttermilk Pancakes. The email says it’s valid for dine-in and online orders at IHOP.com for the next 30 days.
Take the TalkToIHOP survey
Reward: a free short stack of pancakes
IHOP’s survey page doesn’t come up in Google, so the results are mostly lookalike sites such as talktoihop.vip. Instead, type the address printed on your receipt or use this button:
This goes to TalkToIHOP.com, which forwards you to the IHOP Guest Experience Survey on ihop1.qualtrics.com. Qualtrics is the company whose software runs the survey.
The pancakes reward, and how you actually get it
The receipt promises it plainly: Get a FREE Short Stack of Buttermilk Pancakes on your next visit.
It isn’t a prize draw, so there’s nothing to win; instead, finishing the survey earns the coupon.
for the next 30-days.
dine-in and online orders at IHOP.com, according to the email.
The email reads: Here is a coupon code for a free Short Stack of Buttermilk Pancakes with your next order.
So you’ll need an email address you can check, since the code comes there rather than being printed on your receipt.
IHOP doesn’t publish anything more about the coupon, such as an age limit, how many surveys one person can take, or whether it combines with other deals. If you need those answers, ask the restaurant before you order.
Is your receipt or coupon still good?
The receipt says to take the survey in the next 3 days
, while the email gives the coupon 30 days. Pick which date you’re checking, then enter it. Because IHOP doesn’t name a time zone, the checker counts days on your device’s calendar, and it runs in your browser without sending anything.

What the TalkToIHOP.com survey asks for
The first screen asks you to provide the following information from your receipt
and shows one box, labelled Entry Code. Your receipt calls the same number the survey code. On the receipt we checked, it’s a 15-digit number printed on its own line after using the survey code below
.
Don’t mix it up with the IHOP Rewards barcode higher up the receipt. That one sits under “International Bank of Pancakes”, collects pancoins on IHOP.com or the IHOP app, and is valid for 7 days
, so it’s a separate offer.
There’s also a language menu with English and Español (América Latina). After that, the questions ask how satisfied you were with your food, including portion size, temperature, whether it was prepared as ordered, and taste, on a five-point scale.

How to take the TalkToIHOP survey, step by step
- Before you start, find the survey code at the very bottom of your IHOP receipt, below the free short stack offer.
- Within 3 days of your visit, type TalkToIHOP.com into your browser’s address bar.
- If you’d rather answer in Spanish, choose Español (América Latina) from the language menu.
- Type the survey code into the Entry Code box and select Next page.
- Answer the questions about your visit, and give an email address you can check if the survey asks, since that’s where the coupon goes.
- Afterwards, look for the “Your IHOP Feedback” email from guestfeedback@ihop.com, which holds your coupon code for a free short stack.
When TalkToIHOP.com won’t accept your code
- If you typed the barcode number, switch to the survey code at the very bottom of the receipt, since the barcode belongs to IHOP Rewards.
- If the code is rejected, retype all the digits slowly, because a single swapped digit is the usual reason.
- When more than 3 days have passed since your visit, the receipt’s window has closed. In that case, look for a survey code on your next receipt.
- If the coupon email doesn’t arrive, check your spam or promotions folder for a message from guestfeedback@ihop.com.
- If the coupon is refused, check the date on the email first, since it’s only valid for 30 days.

| Reward | A free Short Stack of Buttermilk Pancakes |
|---|---|
| Survey address | TalkToIHOP.com, which forwards to ihop1.qualtrics.com |
| Deadline | “in the next 3 days” after your visit, as the receipt puts it |
| What you enter | The survey code from your receipt, which the survey calls the Entry Code |
| Languages | English and Español (América Latina) |
| Coupon delivery | By email from guestfeedback@ihop.com |
| Coupon use | Dine-in and online orders at IHOP.com, for 30 days |
| Not published | Age limits, how often you can take the survey, and whether the coupon combines with other offers |

No, because there’s no drawing to enter. The short stack is a thank-you for finishing the survey, so you need the survey code from a receipt to get one.
What other TalkToIHOP guides get wrong
When we compared three guides that show up in searches for talktoihop with IHOP’s receipt and coupon email, several claims didn’t match.
| What the guide says | What IHOP’s receipt, email or survey shows |
|---|---|
| Write the validation code “on the receipt” for later (surveyreward.co) | IHOP emails the coupon code from guestfeedback@ihop.com |
| “enter to win a free short stack” (uptodatesurveys.com) | There’s no drawing, since finishing the survey earns the coupon |
| The reward can be “a $4 discount” (uptodatesurveys.com) | The receipt and email only mention a free Short Stack of Buttermilk Pancakes |
| Enter a “Server ID” with the code (surveyreward.co) | The start screen asks only for the Entry Code |
| “Present this code at any participating IHOP location” (talktoihop.vip) | The email says the coupon works for dine-in and online orders at IHOP.com |
Lookalike TalkToIHOP sites to avoid
The address on IHOP’s receipt is TalkToIHOP.com, and it forwards to ihop1.qualtrics.com. However, sites such as talktoihop.vip, whose button leads to talktoihop.surveymemo.com, aren’t IHOP, and this site isn’t IHOP either. So type your survey code only on the real survey.
The coupon we saw came from guestfeedback@ihop.com, and it asked for nothing in return. If a message asks you to pay a fee or share card or bank details for free pancakes, it isn’t from IHOP. According to the FTC, real prizes are free.
